ALROSA says ready to pay $11.6 mln coupon on Eurobonds

MOSCOW, Apr 5 (PRIME) -- Russian diamond mining giant ALROSA is ready to pay a U.S. $11.625 million coupon on a $500 million 2024 Eurobond due on April 9, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

ALROSA said it is financially stable, has enough money for the payment and is taking all the necessary steps to protect interests of its bond holders.

ALROSA has already asked the Russian Finance Ministry for approval of the payment in foreign currency, and sent a request to payment agent Bank of New York Mellon to file to the U.K. Office for Financial Sanctions Implementation, the company said.
